More good exposure for Lebanese wine

Derek Smedley MW tells me that the recent Lebanese wine dinner at the Carlton Club in London was “a great success and certainly  the 66 people who attended enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot about the wines of Lebanon. The name of the wine was showing extremely well and got lots of excellent comments. We had nine wines in total from nine different wineries.

“The food was also Lebanese with a Mezze Plate of Stuffed Vine Leaves, Baba Ghannouj, Tabbouleh Salad, Halloum Meshoue and Fatayer Spinach followed by Five Spiced Marinated Loin of Lamb with Grilled Baby Aubergines, Okra and Almond, Spring Onion Basmati Rice and a Pomegranate Red Wine Jus with finally Orange Blossom Semolina Cake with Rose Petal Ice Cream and Glazed Fresh Figs”
